The Dutch Umbrella Project
The Lowdown:
We asked Philly’s Dutch Umbrella Share Program if they would turn over some of their classic white umbrellas, and they agreed. We put them in the hands of six local artists and told them to think of the umbrellas as blank canvas. The results of which have been chronicled through The Dutch Umbrella Episodes.
The Sweet Spot:
Starting Monday, October 11th we’ll be scattering the umbrellas around Philly hotspots. For the month of October, if you tweet or email us a photo of yourself with a artist edition umbrella we’ll send you a limited edition print from one of artists.*

On Nov 12th, 2010 we’re holding a rad auction of these umbrellas at:

All proceeds from the auction will go to supporting our artists and local arts charities.
